I like what gregdek observes about the fact that sometimes, to get things done just that little bit guicker, we need to go to the command line. I think the challenge of staying only within a GUI environment is something worthy of doing for it will help those who are commandline junkies (like me) to force the filing of featurezilla/bugzillas against existing GUI tools.
While I think the dumbing down of users needs to be resisted, it does make sense to make the GUI tools as rich as possible as well.
